‘Although the GJF brand as we know it began in 1988 under Mark & Gill Edwards, the history of the company started way back in the early 1970s!
The company was owned and run by a Germany family – although there is some debate over what the ‘GJF’ stands for. Most believe it was the initials of the first owner.
After moving to our current site in Brownhills in the 1990s, we have grown the business every year since and invested millions into a lean manufacturing strategy, including CNC robotic welding.
In 2011 GJF was bought by a Scottish investment firm – Inverclyde Investment Company – and we grew from strength to strength.
